While document imaging technology was maturing, it inevitably left behind fields mined with many victims of improvisation, obsolescence and inexperience. A wealth of valuable information is currently stored in inadequate optical media and/or formats. The solution resides in a conversion process that will salvage these images and data by porting them to current, mature standards. Isa offers a service that identifies CD ROM media and Group 4 TIFF image formats as a long term standard for scanned documents. Delivered CDs contain a database and our document image retrieval/view/print/fax software, which you may optionally use in addition to the planned purpose of the conversion.
Even if you are not concerned about the level of compatibility or obsolescence of your record formats and storage, CD media also happens to be a cost effective backup mechanism, and a gateway to exportation over virtually any current or future third party document management system. CD backups are ideal answers to disaster and contingency planning, especially when stored in off-site, disaster-proof locations.
Our Optical2CD service is offered in four options:
- Off-site capture
- On-site capture
- Facilities Management
- Contract-to-Own
Service Options - Optical2CD
1) Off-site capture: Your media is shipped to our facility. We will perform all conversion, optional indexing, QC and publishing at our plant and regularly deliver finished, retrievable CD ROMs to you. We offer a 24 hours a day hotline to satisfy any request to pull an item not yet delivered in CD format.
2) On-site capture: We post equipment and staff at your facility for the duration of the conversion process. Only electronic images, not your media, leave your premises for the purpose of completing the conversion and publishing cycle. Very strict QC and confidentiality procedures are enforced.
3) Facilities Management: The entire process is performed at your site. No media or electronic images ever leave your premises. Options available include: Our staff or yours, lease, rent, purchase, buy-back, and obsolescence guarantee.
4) Contract-to-Own: We perform part of the conversion as a combination of any of the above options. Once the production line has been setup and proven to work to perfection to satisfy your needs based on the nature of your documents, you may elect to purchase a scaled-down or identical system. The system consists of hardware, software, documentation and training
