Digital Images to Microfilm Conversion

CD₂Film is a service that turns digital images into microfilm rolls. It is intended for long term preservation and archival purposes.

Although electronic imaging is the right choice for virtually all conditions and environments, preservation for fifty years or longer remains a challenge. Upon a disaster, microfilm can be viewed without electricity or computers, so after a thermonuclear war all we would need is to survive it, a bit of sunshine and a broken glass.

This film is not produced using microfilm cameras, documents should be captured, processed, stored and retrieved digitally. Our CD₂Film service allows a strategic backup of these electronic documents in microfilm roll format.
